Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Developer Intern to join our development team for a 6-month paid internship. This is an exciting opportunity for university students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced developers to build and enhance our POS systems, leveraging our tech stack of Java and SQLite.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test software components for our POS systems.
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of existing software applications.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of our software.
- Contribute to the documentation of software functionalities and updates.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to our tech stack.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related degree program at a university (university ID required).
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Basic knowledge of SQLite or similar relational database systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile.
- Previous project experience or coursework related to POS systems or similar applications.
